Love beer? Adore wine? Crave whisky? Can’t make up your mind on what to savor? There’s no need to decide because our Wine, Beer & Whisky Trail offers it all. With us handling all the planning, reservations, and transportation, all you have to do is show up and relish the experience!

Embark on this comfortable and stylish adventure as we pick you up from your preferred location in our COVID-safe, air-conditioned minibus. We’ll escort you through the breathtaking foothills of the magnificent Blackall Range to your first destination: the iconic Clouds Vineyard. Here, within its unique barrel-shaped Tasting Hall, you can sample a range of meticulously crafted wines and beers while taking in the picturesque surroundings.

When it comes to lunch, the choice is yours:

Rick’s Garage – Palmwoods
Enjoy a hearty American-style lunch in this vibrant retro diner. Your meal includes a gourmet burger with crispy chips, accompanied by a glass of whisky. With its rockabilly charm and impressive whisky selection, it’s a bold and flavour-packed stop.

Secrets on the Lake – Montville
Prefer something more refined? Secrets on the Lake offers a 2-course lakeside lunch set within a tranquil rainforest overlooking Lake Baroon. It’s an elegant and scenic dining experience perfect for relaxed conversation. (Please note: beverages are not included at this venue.)

After lunch, your final stop is tailored to your taste. Choose between a visit to Sunshine & Sons Distillery for a guided gin tasting, a local craft brewery for a beer tasting paddle, or Sunshine Coast Cider for a cider tasting and talk (open Friday & Saturday only).

After a flavour-filled day exploring the best of the Hinterland’s wine and craft beverage scene, we’ll return you safely and comfortably to your chosen drop-off point.

The tour starts at mid-morning at your chosen pick-up point, relax on the short half-hour drive while our experienced driver takes you through the luscious, spectacular foothills of the Blackall Range, through quaint towns and past awesome lookout points. It’s a pretty drive, all the way there and back.

The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard

Our first stop of the day is at Clouds Vineyard, located up at the magnificently named Bald Knob. The vineyard has inspirational views and the team will welcome you into The Barrel, a barrel-shaped tasting house that’s packed full of opportunities to taste some of the best wines and craft beers in Australia.

Clouds showcase a range of award-winning wines from Granite Ridge, Casley Mt Hutton and Kominos wineries, as well as a choice of exciting beers, such as the exclusive stout “Dark Cloud” brewed specially by their mates at Copperhead Brewery.

Lunch – Your Choice

After enjoying the views, wines, and brews at Clouds, you’ll no doubt have worked up an appetite — and lunch is a treat and a half!

Rick’s Garage – Palmwoods

For a bold and lively experience, head to Rick’s Garage in Palmwoods. This vibrant retro diner delivers hearty American-style favourites in a fun, rockabilly-inspired setting. Enjoy a gourmet burger served with crispy chips, accompanied by a glass of whisky to complement the experience. It’s relaxed, flavour-packed, and full of personality.

A vintage green car is parked in front of a retro-style diner with colorful neon signs and nostalgic advertising, including garage and diner signs, evoking the charm of a classic Whisky Wine and Beer Tour under a cloudy sky.

Secrets on the Lake – Montville

Prefer something more refined? Secrets on the Lake offers a beautifully presented 2-course lakeside lunch set within tranquil rainforest surrounds overlooking Lake Baroon. With its peaceful atmosphere and spectacular water views, it’s an elegant dining experience perfect for relaxed conversation. (Please note: beverages are not included at this venue.)

A large log cabin-style building with a peaked roof sits among tall trees and tropical plants, featuring a brick entrance, ramp, and a sign that reads "Secrets" near the doorway at sunset—perfect for a relaxing Whisky Wine and Beer Tour.

I had such a comfortable and amazing experience with Jan, who was the driver. She was so informative and genuine! I recommend the Eumundi Markets Bus Transfer, if you aren’t keen on driving there; it’s hard to get a nice car spot… Overall was keen on susing out the 600+ stalls hahaha!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Scenic Culinary Experience: Discover Montville and Maleny day tour. Our driver, Jan, was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout the tour. Both Montville and Maleny are quaint quirky towns and having free time to explore each was great. Lunch at Secrets on the Lake was delicious and the restaurant (including location) was extraordinary including fantastic views and items of interest. We will definitely do another day tour with Coast to Hinterland Tours when next in Noosa and surrounds.

An excellent day had with a small group of folk from Australia and the UK. Jan, our guide was attentive and knowledgeable giving just enough detailed information to easily understand and enjoy the places of interest we were visiting. She was unobtrusive but also very aware of any special needs of those in the group. Included was a lovely lunch provided in a scenic environment.

Lovely day out with Rob (our drive) working through lookouts and wineries on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Fantastic day out celebrating a 50th birthday, loved maleny chocolate factory visit.
The wineries were lovely locations, my only small criticism is you couldn’t choose the wine you wanted to try as that was done for you. Lunch at Secrets on the lake was delicious. Rob was very accommodating getting group pics for us, and joining in on a chat and a laugh. Worth giving this tour a go for a girls day out!!

We did a second tour today with Dave to the Hinterland. We had a fabulous day. The cheese tasting, lunch at Secrets on the lake and looking through the towns of Maleny and Montville was absolutely brilliant. Dave is a fantastic driver. Very knowledgeable and alot of fun. We visited several lookouts and the views are spectacular. I would like to say this tour is very worthwhile and would highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous day out today on the Hinterland Scenic Culinary tour with David. From the start,letting us know he was running a few minutes late due to traffic issues, David provided an interesting commentary throughout the day and ensured all of us on the tour were comfortable and happy with what was happening. The cheese and chocolate tastings were great and the 2 course lunch at Secrets on the Lake was delicious, and the scenic stops were breathtaking. Thankyou for a wonderful experience .

Had a lovely trip to the Eumundi Markets this morning. Very smooth and pleasant drive! It was the perfect amount of time to enjoy the markets and get some yummy food.
Natasha was a delight and obviously had a lot of passion for the Sunshine Coast, so the drive was filled with lots of local facts and a big list of great recommendations of things to do around the area 😊
