Why now is the perfect time to visit the Sunshine Coast
It seems that due to COVID19 travel restrictions, international travel won’t be an option for some time. Whilst this is disappointing for many people, Australians are lucky to have plenty of enticing destinations to discover without leaving the country. COVID 19 travel restrictions in Queensland have eased, and with the Queensland borders now open to all Australians except for those living in Victoria and other specified COVID hotspots, it’s the perfect time to escape to the Sunshine Coast. Here’s why.
Whilst were safely isolating in our homes, the earth was presented a rare opportunity to breathe. The stunning scenery of the Sunshine Coast is as beautiful as ever, if not more. The wildlife such as turtles, koalas, dolphins, and vibrant birds, are thriving. Not to mention, it’s currently whale-watching season, so you may be lucky enough to spot humpbacks migrating along the coast.
Now Noosa restaurants, attractions, tour companies, shops, and other businesses that we love are opening up to welcome and delight guests once again, with COVID-safe plans and practices in place to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
The last few months have been stressful for everyone, and we could all benefit from some rest and relaxation. The Sunshine Coast is the perfect place to find your zen, with postcard-perfect beaches, scenic walking trails, exquisite restaurants, and plenty of thrilling attractions and activities to take your mind far away from the stress of 2020. Whatever helps you to unwind, whether its surfing, spas or retail therapy, the Sunshine Coast delivers.
As many Australian states are now shivering through chilly winters, the sunshine state is living up to its name as much as ever. The subtropical climate of the Sunshine Coast provides 300 sunny days per year, making it the perfect place to escape the cold this winter.
Many of the Sunshine Coast’s beloved local businesses have suffered over the last few months, and are now relying on Australian tourists to support them through these difficult times and ensure that they can continue to provide the products and services that we love. The plus side is that this gives us another excuse to splash out on meals, drinks, guided tours, spa therapy, and souvenirs – not that we need one!
At this time, Queensland is open to Queenslanders, and most other Australians. The situation changes regularly, so we recommend checking the latest coronavirus travel advice before you book. For those who are able to visit the Sunshine Coast – it’s the perfect time. We hope to see you soon.
